Material - Ceramic

The material used for man-made diamonds ? zirconium oxide ? has also been used for blades. Its benefits include extreme hardness (only a diamond will scratch it), corrosion resistance, and excellent edge retention. Ceramic blades are more brittle than metal blades and can chip or snap during use. Obviously, ceramic blades make lousy screwdrivers and prybars.
