The following are terms commonly used to describe blade styles, components, construction, and techniques of manufacture and usage. Many Designers and Manufacturers will have their own specific terminology for aspects of their blades which can not be expanded to include any or all other blades. In those cases the Designer or Manufacturer is noted to indicate that the term is specific to that instance only.

Please feel free to contact Beckwiths Blades if you come across any blade terminology which you need explained. We may not have the answer readily available, but we will find a reputable source and answer your inquiry as soon as possible.
